Family Roles: Hero, Scapegoat, Lost Child, Mascot… Caregiver?

I wonder how astrology mashes with the defined family roles, psychologically speaking. This is hard for me to see, because my Aquarian-parented family broke rules. The kids were generally Mutable, so it was not straightforward and our positions changed over time.

I was the lost child in my family, when I was young. I was also the caregiver.  I became the hero, in my teens… until I became the scapegoat in early twenties. I’ve held that position since,

I believe Pisces and 12th house is associated with being a lost child, but my Pisces sister was the scapegoat, when we were growing up.  She was also the hero, are various points.

Oddly,  I think several of us served as mascots, at different times. My brother was the only boy, to represent the family. I was the one who could read the newspaper when I was five and couldn’t get a “B’ in school, to save my life. One of my sisters was an accomplished athlete and very popular.

My oldest sister’s role is unclear to me. She doesn’t fit well in any of there roles. She was double Sagittarius, who oversaw the family, so to speak. She always knew what was going on, both on the surface and deeper down.  Hero, I guess, though I don’t remember her standing up for anyone, or setting an example, anyone cared to follow.

I know these roles are clearer cut in some family…and can persist throughout life.  It’s like the die is cast, once. If you don’t like your situation, too bad! I can think of advantages and disadvantages to both scenarios.

Aries would be the hero, in most families, but in mine, my Aries brother was the youngest.  All of sisters were formidable. There was no way he could take that slot. Again, Pisces would be he lost child, but not when you have a mouth like my sister!
