Mars, Mercury, Jupiter Family Publishing

Everyone in my family has a Mercury Mars mash up.  We also have Jupiter strong; we can all tell a story. Laila asked about this on Shack Man – My Sister Spins A Tale. I revealed, the kids in my family published a newspaper when we were eight and ten or so.  She asked me if I had any of these papers…of course!

Henry kept carbon copies of all the letters he wrote. He gave us the carbon paper, and we used it to make copies of the pages of our newspaper.  We sewed the pages together with our mother’s sewing machine.  Here’s proof!  It’s a contest – we were a competitive family. You can see the stitching.

If you have ever doubted my sister and studied astrology as children; here you go… this is my sister, writing about our older sister’s bio; mentioning the family temper!

We also has strong opinions, which we voiced in our Letters to the Editor section. My double Sadge sister, hogged this section, feeling her voice was most important!

My sister was already WAY into fashion, so she had a Fashion report, even thought we lived in the middle of the desert.  The pieces were illustrated.

Out little (Aries) brother wrote the hard news. I have a piece by him, reporting on a dead diseased rabbit in the area.  Be on the look out! Vultures were eating said rabbit, and flies were around!

I was Mutable; in charge of filling in any lack (Saturn Neptune) in each weekly edition.  Or I sewed the pages, or whatever else my elder sister told me to do (Virgo worker bee).

This came about because we were whining to our mother about not having anything to read.  She told us to go write something to read!

You see, I’m still doing what my mother told me too! I literally said, I was going to write, Shack Man, because the content is so poor these days!

By the way, a “F/B” is a “friendship book” and a “slam” is similar. See Wikipedia. We also had international pen pals.  My oldest sister had a number of them and kept in contact with them for a long time.
