Weekly Forecast: April 21-25, 2025 – The Beauty Of Bitter Medicine
The week is marked by two major aspect events on its way to the weekend’s new moon in Taurus. We’ve got the intense and active fixed t-square of Pluto, Sun, Mars; then we have the more subtle conjunction of Moon, north node, Saturn, and Venus hot on the heels of the exact Venus-Saturn conjunction in Pisces.
Both have been in effect and intensifying for a bit now, but the t-square presents most obviously, especially now that the Sun has entered earthy Taurus to challenge fiery me-me Mars in Leo and ruthless-humanitarian Pluto in Aquarius. That’s not fair to Leo Mars, really, as Leo Mars is also warm, generous, and loving (protective) as hell. It takes an ego to give like that. But what if those actions are at odds with your stock personality? What if that warmth is countered by the idea that the systems in place are pushing back on the validity of your giving? IS it then the right thing to do?
Luckily we can look to Saturn as judge. Saturn crosses the Pisces north node early Monday, followed by Venus Wednesday night. Pisces-ruler Neptune sits on the Aries point, ruled by Mars: I’d say that gives Saturn and Mars a divine connection that speaks to a second marker (double whammy) of fate as well. The timing is perfection.
That Pisces conjunction train speaks to a specific kind of medicine, one that’s hard to swallow but is magical in nature. The t-square that flavors Sunday’s new moon in Taurus is particularly permeable to the effects of Venus. So going into this new moon, we’re setting up a healing moment that softens the hard edges of all our egoic challenges.
I’m not by nature a bible quoter, but Matthew says the sun is made to rise on the evil and the good, and like that it rains on the just and the unjust. These events are in that vein. They’re not personal, but they affect us all personally in a very singular type of way. It will be far more helpful for you to take a direct and active look (Aries Mercury) at where each of these events is entering YOUR chart, by house and by aspect to your natal planets and angles. Where are you challenged to act? Where are those challenges coming from, both from within and from the outside? AND where is your divine medicine likely to brew and arrive? Think about it and take action to find your answers.
For the medicine, I would particularly note what’s happening around the zero degree of Aries in your chart. That’s where it emerges. Otherwise, check out the early degrees of fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) and anything at or relating to the last five degrees of Pisces. Wherever you have placements aspecting those planets in Pisces, you’ve got more assets to muster.
You’re getting ready for the Sun to rise and fall, and to prepare yourself for fire and rain, for whatever comes. After that, you’re trained up! Maybe it will be cake.
Monday’s Aquarius Moon squares Vesta in Scorpio then conjoins Pallas Athena and trines Gemini Jupiter overnight. The collective seat of devotion is far more intimate of an emotional touch than makes the airy Moon comfortable. But it’s good to remember what’s under all our own dark, unturned rocks, or behind the doors we keep closed to the public. Still, what’s there IS part of our power, and it elevates our experience. The mood stirs meaning and lends itself to going the distance.
On Tuesday, the Aquarius Moon finishes up with Pallas and Jupiter then heads into sextile with Aries Chiron, square to Aquarius-ruler Uranus in Taurus, and square to Scorpio Juno. It’s a disruptive mood if you’re overly attached, but it can also shake us out of our collective freeze or the inclination to downplay or turn away from important feelings.
Overnight the Moon moves to Pisces, and Wednesday’s mood is marked by a grounding sextile to the Sun in Taurus and profound reconnection via a trine to watery Vesta. Take the opportunities offered to feel your feelings in the relative safety of the shelter available. Letting yourself be moved to tears will have a restorative effect.
Thursday morning, the Pisces Moon squares Jupiter, but you can refuse to be rushed and take advantage of that Neptunian ability to coast till smoother waters. Insights are available if you stay empowered rather than give in to overwhelm. Someone has a lot to say, but listening is optional. Venus conjoins Saturn, then the Moon sweeps over the north node, Saturn, and Venus. It’s magic medicine, right? It may feel underwhelming for that. In fact, there’s the possibility of feeling a bit let down. BUT, when the Moon moves to Aries late in the night, that tide recedes and creativity takes its place.
On Friday, the Aries Moon trines sign-ruler Mars and sextiles Pluto. The medicine is delivered and we are moving on. Put it into play. Take advantage of ease in action and do the hard thing now. The Moon moves over Mercury in the afternoon, and that fiery momentum takes us into the night with a leap and a shout. The mood is snappy, clean, and curious; and the way to go feels clear and simple. We want to talk about what we’re doing!
Make hay while the sun shines, and take a break when there’s rain. Pisces and Neptune tell us that breaks are also important, and a type of action all their own. You never know what might pop up when you slow down.
