Why Do Some People See No Affect From Major Transits?

What are your thoughts about huge “one of a lifetime” transits happen and charts are being triggered by multiple fronts, but nothing ever happens? Do these people run off their life scripts? Is that possible?

My best friend is a huge astrology skeptic as indeed, nothing ever happens in his life. He’s an Scorpio Sun, Aries Moon, Sagittarius ascendant. He was not even slightly moved by last eclipses, mars retro etc. Nothing major has developed in his life in more than 20 years, which is quite shocking. What do you do when you encounter these type of clients?

I virtually never run into a person who see no affects of a major transit. This may be because you and I may differ as to what qualifies as a “major transit”. If a person has true “major transit”, their life will be turned upside-down, one way or the other.

Is Mars retro a major transit? No.

Are eclipses major transits? Perhaps.  It they hit a chart on a major point and set off a natal configuration, there will probably be an event. For most, eclipses have little effect, in spite of the hype.

These are general statements, but not true for all. You have to look at the natal chart, in general.  For example, if a person’s sun and moon are unafflicted and in easy aspect, a clash between the sun and the moon in the sky, has little to work with, if the goal is to upset that individual. The person next to them, with a sun, moon, Mars, Saturn Grand Cross, might be rocked.

As for your, Scorpio friend, he likely has a different perspective than you.  For example, one person’s “depression” or suffering in silence, is another person’s comfort zone.
